Can you introduce yourself and your role at EEZZ?
My name is Shanaya, I’m 16 years old and I work at EEZZ as a Junior Backend Assistant in the guest and owner service team. I started here as an intern and now I’m officially part of the team as an on-call employee. In my role, I answer emails, process bookings and payments, and take calls from guests and owners. It’s varied work and I enjoy it a lot!
What’s one essential skill for someone in your role?
Good communication and friendliness are super important. You’re in daily contact with guests and owners, so it’s essential to explain things clearly and calmly. You also need to be able to stay organised and plan well, because lots of things can happen at once.
Do you have a favorite quote or life motto that inspires you?
Definitely! My favorite motto is: “Growth happens when you dare to do what once felt scary.” When I first started here, everything was new and a bit overwhelming, but by just giving things a try and asking questions, I’ve learned so much and really grown.
What’s your favorite part of working at EEZZ?
The team atmosphere! Everyone is kind, helpful, and you’re free to be yourself. I feel comfortable at EEZZ and it’s great to work with colleagues who support and trust you.
What’s one EEZZ memory you’ll never forget?
The moment I found out I could stay after my internship. I felt proud and truly appreciated. It was confirmation that my efforts were noticed, and that meant a lot to me.
What are you most looking forward to in your role at EEZZ?
I’m excited to continue growing in my role and gradually take on more responsibilities. I’d also love to learn more about hospitality and customer service – that seems like a great direction for the future!
