VACATIONS AT THE NORTH SEA BEACH
Vacation park Callassande is located on the beach in North Holland. This location is of course ideal for a wonderful beach vacation. From the park you can be on the beach on foot in no time for a nice day of fresh air, swimming and building a sand castle.
A day of cycling through the area is also definitely a possibility and if you don’t want to bring your own bike, you can rent one at the park.
If you don’t feel like the beach sand between your toes, there is plenty to do at the park itself. In addition to the recreational program at the park, there is also plenty to do to entertain yourself. The children play undisturbed in one of the playgrounds or on the sports fields. You can also all make a splash in the swimming paradise available at the park. There is even room for a relaxing game of bocce.
Vacations should of course include good food and that too has been thought of at vacation park Callassande. There is a snack bar available, a takeaway restaurant and for those who prefer to sit down to eat, the park has an eat café.
In addition, the park has a supermarket to do some shopping.

TEXEL
By boat to Wadden Island Texel, for many something to look forward to. Texel belonged to the mainland until 1170, but due to the Allerheiligen flood in that year it became an island. Texel has about 13,500 inhabitants.
In recent years, Texel has become a popular vacation destination, mainly because of its beautiful nature and diverse landscapes. The island has polders, forests, moors, grasslands, dunes and sandy beaches. From Den Helder, 20 car minutes from the vacation park, a boat sails every hour to the largest Wadden Island in the Netherlands. A wonderful day out!
ALKMAAR
Alkmaar is known as the Cheese City: for centuries the world famous cheese market has been held on Friday mornings from April to September. A true North Holland tradition that brings with it a lot of coziness. During these cheese markets, between ten and half past one, the cheese carriers set to work on the Waagplein. The colorful hats of the cheese carriers, the haggling of the cheese merchants and the lively market around it make a visit to the Alkmaar cheese market a real experience.
ZWANENWATER NATURE RESERVE
This reserve is located in the North Holland dunes, near the park. In this area you will find the largest dune lake in Europe with a great diversity of butterflies and birds. There are two walking routes to follow in this area: a 2 km route and a 4.5 km route. Unfortunately, the dog is not allowed.
